Telephone Conversion/ Refurbishment

If you have an older dial telephone that doesn't have a modern plug on it I can get it working for you cheaply.   The conversion for the phones from the 60's is a little more complicated in that I have to change the internal wiring of the phone as well as putting on a new cord.   Phones from the 70's and 80's again need a new cord, additional components and a bit of work inside.

I can often supply older phones.   Please use THIS link to see whether I am selling any at the moment or use the 'contact us' page as I may well have stock that I haven't had time to renovate and put on this website.

Please be warned that although these phones will work with an incoming ring and will give you that great bell ring, when it comes to outgoing calls you need to check that your exchange can still cope with 'Pulse' dialling, most BT exchanges can.   As well as that please don't rely on such a phone to call telephone banking or call centres where you are expected to press digits to route your call.   But their saving grace is that when all your cordless phones fail when the electricity goes off, they are an ideal 'mains fail' phone, as they do still ring and you can make and receive calls.

This is an example of a phone from the 70/ 80's. This is an example of a phone from the 50's 60's.
