Cat 5 Cable Installation

I installed Cat 5e cable while I was employed by BT so have experience of flood wiring office blocks, terminating patch panels and terminating Cat 5e sockets, Krone terminations and have since had to run Cat5e in call centres.   It is the best way to ensure consistent network accessibility around your office where some wireless signals will not penetrate or just do not give the speed of connection.

Alternatively a Cat5e cable can be used to link two routers together to give two wireless access points in an office situation.

Cat5 cable in a drum

More recently I have been asked to install Cat 5e to a garden office which these days is not unusual, when the possibility of working from home is far greater.   In this case it was used to power a switch so that two PC's could work simultaneously at the remote location.

In planning for the possibility of further external use of Category 5e cable I am now equipped with 'External' and 'Internal' varieties of Cat 5e cable as well as Cat6 cable if you feel the need to futureproof your cabling.

If you would like to discuss this further please go to the 'contact us' page and tell me what your requirements are or please ring me on 0800 612 8410
